Terms of Service

1. What dodo is

dodo (operated by DD Tech, "we") is a software service that turns a brand's website, reviews and public signals into AI-generated short-form video content — including AI-generated presenters ("personas"), scripts, images and video clips — that you can review, edit and publish. By creating an account you agree to these terms.

2. Accounts

You must provide a valid email address and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. You must be legally able to enter contracts and use the service only for a business or brand you are authorised to represent.

3. Credits, subscriptions and top-ups

• Paid features are metered in credits. Generating content deducts the credit price shown before you confirm the generation.
• Subscriptions (Creator, Pro, Studio) renew monthly and grant a monthly credit allowance. You can cancel any time via Manage billing; cancellation stops future renewals.
• Top-ups are one-time credit purchases.
• Credits expire 60 days after they are granted and have no cash value, are non-transferable and non-refundable except where required by law.
• If a generation fails on our side, the deducted credits are automatically refunded to your balance.
• Payments are processed by Stripe. Prices include applicable VAT where stated at checkout.

EU consumers: by purchasing credits and starting generation you expressly consent to immediate performance of the digital service and acknowledge that the statutory right of withdrawal is lost once performance has begun.

4. AI-generated content

• Output is generated by AI models from third-party providers. It may be inaccurate, and similar output may be generated for other users. Review everything before publishing.
• Subject to payment, we assign to you our rights in the generated clips, images and scripts you create. You are responsible for how you use and publish them, including advertising-law and platform-rule compliance (e.g. disclosing AI-generated presenters where required).
• Personas are fictional, AI-generated people. You may not present them as real, identifiable individuals or use them to deceive.

5. Your inputs

You confirm you have the rights to the brand assets, URLs, images and text you submit, and you grant us the licence needed to process them to provide the service (including passing them to the AI providers listed in our Privacy Policy).

6. Acceptable use

You may not use dodo to create content that is unlawful, defamatory, deceptive, infringing, sexually explicit involving minors, or that impersonates real people; nor to probe, overload or resell the service without our written consent. We may suspend accounts that break these rules.

7. Availability & changes

The service depends on third-party AI providers and is provided "as available". We may change models, features or prices; price changes apply from your next billing period.

8. Termination & deletion

You can delete your account in Account settings at any time — this cancels any active subscription and permanently deletes your data. We may terminate accounts for material breach. Unused credits lapse on termination.

9. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are liable without limit for intent, gross negligence and injury to life, body or health; for simple negligence only for breach of essential contractual duties and capped at the foreseeable, contract-typical damage. We are not liable for the content you publish.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of [CONFIRM: governing law / venue, e.g. Germany], without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence.
